Woman Priest?! What?!

Italy is to ordain the first woman priest. This will indeed upset the Roman Catholic Church. Maria Vittoria Longhitano is apart of the Old Catholics Church who broke away from the Roman Catholic Church in the 19th century. She will be ordained at All Saints Anglican Church on May 22. Some people think it will break up the prejudice in the Catholic Church, but there is nothing prejudice about it. So the Catholic Church remains opposed to the idea of woman as deacons or priests in the church.

The Colosseum is showing its wrinkles. (:

Three big peices of plaster fell from the ceilings of the Colosseum in Rome, Italy. Luckily it was after all the tourists had left by the time they fell. It is believed they fell because of all the recent rain and storms in Rome. A 23 million euro (29.2077 million U.S.) cleaning and restoring project will take place over the next weeks. Sadly, the Colosseum isn't the only ancient monument in Rome that is crumbling, the Domus Aurea caved in and ruined its interior. These attractions bring in a lot of tourists, like 3 million visitors in a year! Lets hope another incident like this won't occur in the near or late future.

Muslims and their Burkas.

A Muslim woman in Italy has been fined 500 euros ($634.95 in U.S.), because she wore a burka in public. Her husband wants her to continue wearing it so she will not be seen by other men. In Italy they are not tolerating any clothing that covers the face of a person or their identity ever since the anti-terrorism law in 1975.
